Many people took advantage of this bug and turned in the quest to attain both the title and the mount. There was a confirmed bug on some realms where restarts caused the gates that were previously open to become closed again. There were rumors that after patch 3.0.2 anyone could Bang a Gong! to attain the title and mount. To anyone who says it is not possible to transfer to a new server and open the gates, as stated in a previous comment Alexio on the US server Exodar has done this already. Completing the entire quest chain on an old realm with the gates already opened, transferring to a new realm that has not yet finished the War Effort prior to the 90 day transfer lock-out period, then turning in Bang a Gong! once the War Effort is complete.On a new realm with the gates closed start from scratch and create a new character, do the entire quest chain which includes farming the Brood of Nozdormu reputation and running all of the level 60 raids, then turning in Bang a Gong! once the War Effort is complete.Once you find a server with the AQ gates closed you have two options: You must do the quest chain completing the final step, Bang a Gong!, on a server which has not yet opened the AQ gates. It is still possible to attain the Scarab Lord title and the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal now. However, if a new realm is created with transfers unavailable then the gates will be closed making this achievable on that specific realm. Shortly after the quest is turned in by the first person, the title and mount are no longer attainable on that realm.Īll of the original realms have already opened the gates along with new realms which are created with transfers available, making this unachievable on them.
